AiAi Delas Alas Ends Ex-Husband's Green Card Petition
AiAi Delas Alas Reveals She Withdrawn Gerald Sibayan’s U.S. Green Card Petition
AiAi Delas Alas, a well-known comedian and actress, has shared that she officially withdrew the green card petition for her former husband, Gerald Sibayan, who is currently in the United States. This decision came after a painful breakup, which AiAi described as a way of protecting herself.

During an appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” AiAi explained that the move was her way of standing up for herself following their difficult separation. She said, “At first, I didn’t want to do it. But in the end, I thought, why should I be the saint or something? Because even if it sounds bad, that was my way of dealing with the pain.”
AiAi emphasized that the idea of moving to America was always Gerald’s. “He was the one who said he wanted to go to the United States. I didn’t push him to come here. He was the one who expressed his desire to go there,” she added.
The revocation of the green card petition coincided with AiAi’s filing for divorce. However, the court has not yet issued a final ruling on the case. In October 2024, AiAi first revealed that they had separated after being together for a decade. She recalled, “We are separated. It happened last month… On October 14, we chatted, and he told me he wanted to have children and wasn’t happy anymore.” She also mentioned feeling confused and shocked by the timing of the message.
AiAi has previously spoken about their struggles to conceive through IVF, a betrayal in 2019 that damaged her trust, and how communication between them completely ended by December 2024.
