Cruz Beckham Strips Down in Vest and Quirky Frog Hat for New Music Video

Cruz Beckham Shines in New Music Video with Quirky Frog Hat

Cruz Beckham, the 20-year-old son of Victoria and David Beckham, made a bold entrance into the music scene with his latest single "Lick The Toad." In the video, he stripped down to a vest and a quirky frog hat, showcasing his playful side as he performed alongside his friends. The clip featured Cruz and his pals hanging out in a studio, each donning a version of the unique headgear that has become a signature of his new look.

During the video, Cruz's girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, who is credited as a brand strategist, was heard laughing with him and his fellow musicians. The young singer not only sings in the release but also plays the guitar alongside his friend Telmo Seixas, highlighting his versatility as an artist.

The second single from Cruz’s upcoming album, "Lick The Toad," takes a different approach from his previous work, focusing on more meaningful lyrics inspired by "Mother Nature." The chorus features lines like, "Let me take a lick of you, mother nature, imma take a lick. Let me take a hit of you mother nature, imma take a hit." This shift in theme shows a deeper connection to the natural world and a more mature approach to songwriting.

Since starting his music career in small venues, Cruz has worked hard to bring authenticity to his debut. He has also collaborated with The Kooks' frontman, Luke Pritchard, who contributed to the songwriting process, adding a more substantial sound to his music.

Cruz’s new album includes tracks such as "Waste Your Pain," "Optics," "John Lennon," "Tie Don't Fit," "For Your Love," "Yeah Yeah Yeah," and of course, "Lick The Toad." His journey in the music industry began back in 2016 with the release of his first single, "If Every Day Was Christmas," with proceeds going to charity. Last December, he released "For Ya Love," which some critics claimed was "better than Oasis."

To prepare for the imminent release, Cruz has been performing at intimate shows, including one at East London's legendary The George Tavern. On stage, he performed songs like "Optics," "Caroline," "For Your Love," and "Lick The Toad," expressing his gratitude to the audience.

He told the crowd: "This is really special for me. I just want to thank everyone for being here tonight." An industry source who attended the gig noted that while Cruz was initially nervous, the crowd responded enthusiastically once he started performing.

"They said he was a little nervous, but once he got going, the crowd went wild for him. He's clearly spent the summer listening to Oasis. He's got a decent voice, can play the guitar, and his songs are certainly catchy."

The source compared his style to 2000s bands like The Kooks and the Kaiser Chiefs, describing it as "catchy indie landfill." While none of his celebrity relatives attended the show, insiders say Cruz is determined to build his career without relying on his family connections.

However, his girlfriend was present in the crowd and shared her emotional reaction on social media, stating she cried when he began performing. She wrote on Instagram: "Unannounced, just working on his craft, doing his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you."

As Cruz continues to make waves in the music industry, fans are eager to see what he will do next. With his unique style, talent, and determination, it seems he is well on his way to carving out his own path in the world of music.
