Beauty doctor shares why skill matters more than fame

In a business that constantly boasts, they manage to stay afloat thanks to their quiet clinic, modest demeanor, and unassuming professionalism.

Among them is Dra. Venia Javellana, who has spent three decades establishing a reputation based on artistry, trust, and the pursuit of eternal beauty. Her name is associated with a number of well-known people, including Christine Jacob, Tweetie de Leon, and others. While surrounded by famous stars, Dra. Javellana always chooses expertise over fame.

Patients come first, Dra. Javellana told News. “Since the beginning, I have strived to provide our patients with the best care possible. And I am simultaneously guided by ethics. We mean to avoid stepping on our colleagues when we talk about medical ethics. Therefore, delivering what we are attempting to provide to our patients while also ensuring their safety is what brings me joy and happiness,” she said.

The seasoned beauty doctor continued by sharing her pride in empowering people. “I believe that we receive a sense of satisfaction when we see our patients satisfied. Of course, we also get to deal with patients who have problems. Complaints do occur. So we accept it. We simply ask for whatever bothers them, and we truly take it and run for it. Therefore, seeing and delivering brings us joy. For us, becoming world-class entails providing our patients with excellent care,” she shared with News.

The doctor who runs Advanced Aesthetics by MVCA Javellana in Bonifacio Global City also talked about the factors that have contributed to the success of her company over the past three decades. “I believe it's a combination of being up to date with the most advanced technology available to our patients. We blend science and history. However, we also balance it. We usually don't go overboard with our procedures. We maintain open lines of communication with our patients regarding their concerns both prior to and following treatments,” she proudly pointed out.

She added, “Since the majority of our patients have strong retention rates, we place a greater emphasis on providing each patient with the treatment they need. In other words, our patients from 18 or 20 years ago are still our patients today. We then give them the impression that this is a second home when they visit us.”
