A reimagined version of the iconic musical "Jesus Christ Superstar," created by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, is set to make its way to Manila in May. The announcement was made by GMG Productions, a well-known theater production company. According to producer David Ian, this Olivier Award-winning show has been a hit around the world due to its powerful energy and outstanding performances.
"Whether you have loved the show for decades or are discovering it for the first time, this will be an unforgettable experience," Ian said. He expressed excitement about bringing the musical to Manila, where it is expected to resonate with both longtime fans and new audiences.
Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG, emphasized the universal appeal of "Jesus Christ Superstar." He described the musical as one that transcends generations, with its music and story continuing to inspire people. "We can't wait for Filipino fans to experience this powerful production live," he added.
