Katie Price Reacts to Daughter's Message on Motherhood After ITV Omission

A Heartfelt Message from Princess Andre to Katie Price

Katie Price has shared a touching message from her daughter, Princess Andre, following the release of the ITV documentary "The Princess Diaries." The show documented Princess's journey as she prepared for adulthood and turned 18. However, Katie was notably absent from the filming.

On Wednesday, Katie posted an update on Instagram, sharing a quote from Princess about mothers. The message read: "I hope my mom never goes to bed thinking she failed as a mother, because I could write her a whole book about how amazing she's been. I love you, mom."

Katie responded by tagging Princess in the post, writing: "Thank you gorgeous daughter @princess_andre."

Highlights of the Show

The show featured several highlights, including Princess's catwalk debut at the Ibiza Fashion Festival and an inside look at her career as she signed her first major brand partnership. The final episode of season one showed Peter giving an emotional speech to Princess at her 18th birthday party, expressing pride in the woman she had become.

Katie did not attend the celebration, explaining that she went away to avoid feeling "rubbed in her face" that she wasn't invited. She said, "Princess's 18th birthday, the day of her birthday she had an 18th birthday party that I wasn't allowed to go to and the reason is because Pete doesn't want to be in the same room as me because I'm his ex."

Princess's Perspective

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Princess addressed her mother's comments, saying it would be "weird" if her divorced parents attended the same party. She explained that she has spent her life celebrating milestones with them separately.

Princess said, "What I would usually do, as I've done my whole life, would be to spend the morning with one parent and the evening with the other. As it happened, mum ended up being away, and dad had already decided to throw me a last minute birthday party, which we filmed for the show. But anyhow, it would be weird if both parents were in the same room, as I'm sure a lot of people out there with divorced parents can relate to."

Reflections on Childhood and Family Life

In the show, Princess spoke in detail about her childhood, growing up in the spotlight, and coping with her parents' bitter divorce. She admitted to wishing she had a "happier childhood" after crying every day in the wake of her mother's split from third husband Kieran Hayler, who apologized to Princess for leaving the family home.

In scenes recorded for "The Princess Diaries," the reality star reflected on watching Katie's downfall, which included drug and alcohol abuse, bankruptcy, and a severe decline in the former glamour model's mental health.

Future Plans and Excitement

Despite tensions between her parents, Princess has maintained a neutral stance. The series was a hit with audiences, becoming ITV2's biggest launch outside of Love Island and Big Brother.

Speaking to the camera, she said: "I'm so excited to tell you what I'm about to tell you. I want to thank everyone who gave me so much love for season one of The Princess Diaries. I'm here to announce that I have not only one, but two more series of The Princess Diaries coming out in 2026. I honestly can't wait, I'm so excited. Loads of people have been asking me but I've not been able to tell you but now you finally know. See you in 2026."

Ongoing Questions and Speculations

As Princess continues to step into the spotlight, questions remain about the dynamics between her and her mother, Katie Price. Will the emotional tension deepen as the new series unfolds? Is Princess caught in a dramatic crossfire between her mother and ITV2 over her sensational new show? How will Katie react to her exclusion from the upcoming series? And will Princess break free from her childhood shadows as she takes on new challenges?
