Paul Jake Castillo Shares Heartwarming Moment of Kaye Abad Enjoying Leftover Lechon

A Candid Moment of Kaye Abad's Practical Side

Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and entrepreneur Paul Jake Castillo recently shared a heartwarming and candid moment of his wife, actress Kaye Abad, during an event that captured the attention of netizens. In a photo posted on his Facebook page, Kaye was seen packing leftover lechon into a plastic bag to take home.

"Forgot to post this pala. Thanks for the paksiw!!! 🤣#kayeabad #takeout," Paul Jake wrote alongside the image. The post quickly gained traction online, with fans expressing their admiration for Kaye's practicality.

Fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts:

  • "So mothering the take home. Love it!"
  • "The best gyud ma'am Kaye (The best ka talaga ma'am Kaye), very practical mommy."

Kaye has always been open about her frugal habits. In an interview with Melai Cantiveros on Kuan On One, the actress discussed how she always looks for ways to save and make the most out of what she has.

"Matipid talaga [ako]. If makakakuha ako ng freebies, kukuha talaga ako ng freebies," she shared. She also mentioned that the school shoes for her children are already settled until next year.

Kaye admitted that even at parties, she never hesitates to bring food home. "Minsan si Paul Jake (Castillo) na ang nahihiya para sa akin. Kapag may party, nakikita niya ako na nagte-take out," she relayed.

She pointed out: "Mahal na ang karne ngayon. Sayang. Kung wala nang kakain niyan itatapon 'yan nila. Sayang di ba?"

Kaye even revealed her go-to move whenever there's lechon at a gathering. "If may lechon, kukuha talaga ako sa ulo para ipaksiw," she quipped.

A Life in Cebu

Kaye married Paul Jake in December 2016 in Cebu. The actress relocated to the Queen City of the South after their union. In an interview with Karen Davila back in August 2024, Kaye shared that she did not have any second thoughts about moving to Cebu after tying the knot with Paul Jake.

"Never akong nagdalawang isip," she said. "It was really my dream to have my own family. As early as 18 sabi ko when I have my own family, I think I'll stop acting because I want to concentrate with my family. At least ngayon hindi naman ako nag-stop, I'm still here, nag lie low lang."

Kaye highlighted that she is enjoying her laid-back life in Cebu. "I love it here in Cebu, very laid-back, simple life, everything is near. I would drive my kids to school. Mago-grocery ako mag-isa. Yung buhay na pinangarap ko natupad lahat dito," she said.

Family Life

Kaye and Jake have two children, Joaquin and Iñigo. Their journey as a family has been filled with moments of joy, simplicity, and practicality. Kaye’s approach to life reflects her values, which include being thrifty, appreciating small things, and making the most out of every situation.

Her story continues to inspire many, especially those who admire her down-to-earth personality and dedication to her family. Whether it's taking home leftovers or managing household expenses, Kaye shows that being practical doesn't mean losing the joy of life—it simply means making the most of what you have.
