A Candid Moment of Kaye Abad’s Practical Side

Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and entrepreneur Paul Jake Castillo recently captured the hearts of netizens with a heartwarming post featuring his wife, actress Kaye Abad. The photo shared on his Facebook page showcased Kaye in a candid moment where she was seen packing leftover lechon into a plastic bag to take home.

Paul Jake captioned the post: "Forgot to post this pala. Thanks for the paksiw!!! 🤣#kayeabad #takeout." His message quickly went viral, sparking an outpouring of positive reactions from fans.

Fans were quick to praise Kaye's practicality and motherly instincts. One fan commented, "So mothering the take home. Love it!" Another wrote, "The best gyud ma'am Kaye (The best ka talaga ma'am Kaye), very practical mommy."

Kaye has always been open about her thrifty nature, often sharing how she manages to make the most out of what she has. In an interview with Melai Cantiveros on Kuan On One, she revealed her mindset when it comes to saving money.

"Matipid talaga [ako]. If makakakuha ako ng freebies, kukuha talaga ako ng freebies," she said. She also mentioned that her children's school shoes are already settled until next year.

Kaye admitted that even at parties, she never hesitates to bring food home. "Minsan si Paul Jake (Castillo) na ang nahihiya para sa akin. Kapag may party, nakikita niya ako na nagte-take out," she shared.

She added, "Mahal na ang karne ngayon. Sayang. Kung wala nang kakain niyan itatapon 'yan nila. Sayang di ba?" This statement highlights her appreciation for not wasting food.

Kaye even revealed her go-to move whenever there's lechon at a gathering. "If may lechon, kukuha talaga ako sa ulo para ipaksiw," she joked.

Life in Cebu and Family Priorities

Kaye married Paul Jake in December 2016 in Cebu. After their union, the actress decided to relocate to the Queen City of the South. In an interview with Karen Davila back in August 2024, Kaye shared her thoughts on moving to Cebu after tying the knot with Paul Jake.

"Never akong nagdalawang isip," she said. "It was really my dream to have my own family. As early as 18 sabi ko when I have my own family, I think I'll stop acting because I want to concentrate with my family. At least ngayon hindi naman ako nag-stop, I'm still here, nag lie low lang."

Kaye emphasized that she is enjoying her laid-back life in Cebu. "I love it here in Cebu, very laid-back, simple life, everything is near. I would drive my kids to school. Mago-grocery ako mag-isa. Yung buhay na pinangarap ko natupad lahat dito," she said.

Kaye and Jake now have two children, Joaquin and Iñigo. Their family life continues to be a source of joy and inspiration for many. Whether it's through her practical habits or her dedication to family, Kaye Abad remains a beloved figure in the entertainment industry and beyond.
