R'Bonney Gabriel Funds Cebu NGO at Texas Fashion Event
R'Bonney Gabriel, the former Miss Universe, is currently in her home state of Texas participating in a charity fashion show that supports an organization aiding child survivors of sexual exploitation. The event, titled “And The World Was Hers,” showcases 20 outfits designed by R'Bonney herself, using materials sourced from the Philippines.
In one of her recent Instagram posts, R'Bonney shared multiple photos of the fashion show. In the caption, she mentioned that the event was organized to support My Refuge House, a Cebu-based organization dedicated to helping children who have been victims of online and commercial sexual exploitation. The organization provides comprehensive therapeutic care to its clients.
In another post about the event, R'Bonney discussed the challenges she faced while preparing for the fashion show. She revealed that she was initially planning to create only six looks, but when she found out that she would be the sole designer at the event, she had to expand her collection. Additionally, some of her more expensive and time-consuming designs did not work out as planned.
This Texas charity fashion show is just one of many projects R'Bonney has undertaken since her time as Miss Universe. In June, she was featured as the cover star of the first issue of Glen Magazine. The publication described her as someone who continues to experience “winning moments” even after her pageant career ended. It also highlighted her ongoing commitment to sustainability, even after she passed on her crown.

R'Bonney has been active in the fashion world beyond her charity work. In 2023, she made her debut at New York Fashion Week. She posted several photos on her Instagram account, including images of her walking the runway and performing with the musical group EarthGang.
