Sandara Park, a beloved K-pop star, had an unexpected and heartwarming moment during her flight back to Korea from the Philippines. While traveling, she reunited with her longtime friend Ryan Bang, who was also on the same flight. This chance meeting brought back a flood of memories for Sandara.

On her Instagram Stories, she shared her excitement: "Nagulat ako!!! Pauwi nako Korea and same flight pala kami ni Ryan!🤣 Grabe chikahan namin before the flight hehe." She expressed how much fun they had catching up before the flight took off.

Sandara also mentioned the depth of their friendship, saying, "Dami rin pala kami memories! Tagal din ng friendship namin 😃👍." Their bond, which has lasted for many years, was clearly evident in their playful interaction.

A Successful Event in Manila

Sandara was in Manila to host and perform at the "Shoot of Asia" exhibition game held at the Mall of Asia Arena. The event was a huge success, and she was grateful for the support from her Filipino fans.

After the event, she took to social media to express her appreciation. "Last night at 'Shoot of ASIA' in the Philippines, I was so moved watching all the moments you captured. Hearing the cheers again made me emotional — thank you for giving me such an unforgettable moment," she said.

She added, "To the everyone who shared the clips, and to my contents team, thank you for making this night shine even brighter. Mahal ko kayo. Maraming salamat."

A Journey Through Fame

Sandara first gained popularity in the Philippines through the 2004 reality show Star Circle Quest, which helped launch her acting and singing career in the country. Her journey continued when she debuted in 2009 as a member of 2NE1, one of K-Pop's most influential girl groups.

The group recently reunited for their Welcome Back Tour, which included a stop in Manila last November 2024. During the Manila concert, Sandara became emotional as she once again performed for her Filipino fans.

"I feel so emotional. The Philippines is my second home. But it's not only me, it's 2NE1's second home too," she said.

"Maraming-maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Salamat sa paghintay niyo sa'min. Ang tagal namin diba? Ten years pero nandito pa rin kayo. Maraming salamat sa suporta niyo sa'min. Talagang na-miss namin kayo," the singer added.

Ryan Bang’s Role in the Event

Meanwhile, Ryan Bang participated in the recent "Shoot of Asia" exhibition game as part of Team Kuys Showtime. He currently serves as one of the hosts of the noontime show It’s Showtime. His involvement in the event highlighted his continued presence in the entertainment industry and his connection with the Filipino audience.
